Bakteriologia

The term ‘bacteriology’ is traditionally used to describe microscopic, typically single-celled organisms lacking a cell nucleus and which are known as prokaryotes. Delayed treatment due to late diagnosis can have dramatic, or even fatal consequences. For this reason, an early and rapid diagnosis is vital for a good prognosis. Below you can find the rapid tests on offer relating to the field of bacteriology, which detect antigens and antibodies against Lyme disease, campylobacter, clostridium difficile toxins A&B, clostridium perfringens, E. Coli 0157, legionella pneumophila, listeria monocytogenes, salmonella ssp., salmonella typhi, shigella, shigella dysenteriae type 1 and streptococcus pneumoniae.
