Sexual transmitted diseases

In Europe, sexually-transmitted diseases are still a taboo topic. Caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi, the number of those infected is rising by 17 million per year. The pathogens are found in bodily fluids such as semen, vaginal secretions and blood, and are transmitted via sexual intercourse. The most commonly-known diseases include genital warts, hepatitis B, AIDS, chlamydia, syphilis and vaginal fungi. The use of condoms is the best way to prevent the spread of sexually-transmitted diseases. In case of infection, a doctor should be consulted.
